With the elderly woman’s life hanging in the balance, a nurse from the Adera Team & Community who happened to be at the scene-stepped up as an unsung hero.

Café Atmosphere Turns Tense

The incident began when an elderly female customer at the café suddenly collapsed and struggled to breathe. The initially peaceful atmosphere turned to panic as the elderly woman’s terrified family members screamed for help from the crowd.

In such medical emergencies, every second is critical and can determine the victim’s survival.

Nur Ain Qamarina’s Swift Action Saves a Life

Upon noticing the commotion, Nur Ain Qamarina, a nurse from the Adera Team & Community who was seated nearby, immediately rushed to provide assistance without a second thought.

Remarkably, she was not on duty at the time; she had just finished her shift at a nearby office and was at the café simply waiting for her sibling to return from their studies.

Armed with professional medical training, courage, and keen nursing instincts, Nur Ain Qamarina calmly performed Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). Thanks to her swift and efficient actions, respiratory support was administered within seconds, allowing the woman to gradually resume breathing. She immediately contacted her employer, Adera Team Community & Alliance Sdn Bhd, to arrange for an ambulance. Within minutes, an ambulance arrived and transported the patient to the hospital.
