HELP University’s Institute of Crime and Criminology Explores Strategic Collaboration with MACA and IIM

Kuala
Lumpur, Malaysia (13 March 2026) – The Institute of Crime and Criminology (ICC)
at HELP University recently conducted a courtesy visit to the Malaysian
Anti-Corruption Academy (MACA) and the Malaysian Institute of Integrity (IIM),
both under the Prime Minister’s Department, to explore potential areas of
collaboration in advancing governance, integrity, and leadership development.

Exploring
Opportunities for Collaboration in Governance and Integrity

The
engagement provided an opportunity for ICC representatives to hold constructive
discussions with officials from both institutions on initiatives aimed at
strengthening professional training and knowledge-sharing in areas related to
integrity, anti-corruption practices, and organisational governance.

Among
the key areas discussed were potential collaborations in governance and
leadership training programmes, the development of micro-credential
initiatives, and the organisation of conferences and knowledge-sharing
platforms focused on promoting ethical leadership and integrity.

Advancing
Professional Education in Economic Crime Management

The
discussions also highlighted opportunities to promote HELP University’s Master
of Science in Economic Crime Management, as well as the Asia-Pacific Executive
Qualifications (APEQ) programmes. These programmes aim to equip professionals
with the knowledge and practical skills needed to address complex challenges
related to economic crime, governance, and compliance.

As
Malaysia continues to strengthen its governance and anti-corruption frameworks,
collaborations between academia and national institutions play an important
role in developing talent, advancing research, and building professional
capacity in the field of integrity and economic crime prevention.

Through
ICC, HELP University continues to support the development of thought
leadership, industry engagement, and professional education in areas related to
governance, compliance, and economic crime management. The engagement with MACA
and IIM reflects the University’s commitment to fostering partnerships that
contribute to a stronger culture of integrity and accountability across
institutions.

Such
collaborations also open opportunities for joint knowledge exchange, executive
education, and specialised training programmes that benefit both professionals
and organisations seeking to strengthen governance practices in an increasingly
complex global environment.
