ASUENE APAC Wins Grand Prize at “Petronas FutureTech 4.0×AWS Startup Innovation Challenge” for Pioneering Net-Zero Solutions from Japan

ASUENE APAC Pte Ltd, the Singapore-based overseas subsidiary of ASUENE Inc. was awarded the Grand Prize at the PETRONAS FutureTech 4.0 × AWS Startup Innovation Challenge (“PETRONAS FutureTech 4.0”), held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on June 27. Hosted by PETRONAS, Malaysia’s national oil and gas company, this international startup support program recognizes emerging ventures tackling global challenges. ASUENE was highly acclaimed for its innovation and social impact as a Japan-born startup leading the next generation of decarbonization solutions.

About PETRONAS FutureTech 4.0

PETRONAS FutureTech 4.0 is a growth-oriented support program organized by PETRONAS, Malaysia’s national oil and gas company, targeting innovative startups. The program aims to discover and accelerate next-generation technologies and services in fields such as energy, industry, and materials, while promoting social implementation through collaboration with PETRONAS and other major corporate partners.

The program focused on three key themes: Industry & Work, Energy, and Chemicals & Materials. Hundreds of startups from across the globe—including Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Japan, the United States, and Australia—applied for the program.

As part of the FutureTech 4.0 support program, a pitch competition powered by AWS was held, offering the top 20 selected startups an opportunity to present their solutions. Asuene was awarded first place, recognized for its innovative product in the sustainability field, the social significance of its mission, and its strong presentation delivery.
