YBO IT Solutions Director Mary Joy Olmstead Empowers Hundreds of Students at Tartaro Elementary School

Philanthropist and Alumna Donates 274 Diploma Holders and 250
Medals to Honor Academic Excellence and Community Resilience

TARTARO, BULACAN — March 2026 — In a deeply meaningful act of generosity

and gratitude, Mary Joy Olmstead, Company Director of YBO IT Solutions,

returned to her alma mater, Tartaro Elementary School, to support and celebrate

the achievements of its students—ensuring that their milestone moments would

be remembered with pride and dignity.

Through her personal initiative, Olmstead donated a total of 274 diploma holders and

250 medals to be used for the school’s graduation and recognition ceremonies. The

contribution allowed hundreds of students to receive tangible symbols of their hard

work—items that represent not only academic success, but perseverance, discipline,

and hope for the future.

A Personal Commitment to Recognition

For Olmstead, the effort was more than a simple act of giving—it was a response rooted

in empathy and personal connection. As a former student of Tartaro Elementary School,

she understands firsthand the importance of being recognized during formative years.

Her experience at the school helped shape the values she carries today, making this

initiative especially close to her heart.

Her decision to act came after learning about the realities surrounding school recognition

programs, where available resources sometimes require careful prioritization. While

educators continue to do their best to celebrate every student’s accomplishments,

Olmstead felt that more could be done to ensure that each child receives the recognition

they truly deserve.

“Every child deserves to feel proud of what they’ve achieved,” Olmstead

shared. “Recognition is not just about receiving an award—it’s about

feeling seen, valued, and encouraged. These are moments that stay with

them long after they leave the classroom.”

Transforming the Graduation Experience

With the donation of diploma holders and medals, the graduation ceremony was

transformed into a more complete and meaningful experience. Students were able to

walk on stage with confidence, hold their diplomas with pride, and wear their medals as

symbols of their dedication. What might have once been a simple ceremony became a

celebration filled with joy, affirmation, and lasting memories.

Teachers and school staff expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the support,

emphasizing how the gesture uplifted not only the students, but the entire school

community. By enhancing the recognition process, Olmstead’s contribution reinforced

the importance of celebrating each child’s unique journey and achievements.

Building a Legacy of Support

Beyond her role as Company Director of YBO IT Solutions, Olmstead is also the founder

of Ripple of Joy, a humanitarian initiative dedicated to supporting underserved and

impoverished children within the region. Through this initiative, she has consistently

worked to create opportunities that bring encouragement, care, and meaningful

experiences to communities in need.

She also spearheaded the Ember Program, a focused outreach effort that supports a

small group of children in Puyat Street. Through regular activities and continued

engagement, the program provides not only material assistance, but also a sense of

belonging, guidance, and hope for a better future.

“At the end of the day, success means very little if you don’t use it to uplift

others,” she added. “If we can help children believe in themselves a little more,

then that’s something truly worth investing in.”

Through her actions, Mary Joy Olmstead demonstrates that true leadership is not only

measured by professional achievement, but by the ability to create meaningful impact in

the lives of others. Her contribution serves as a powerful reminder that when success is

shared, it has the potential to inspire, uplift, and transform entire communities.
