This pioneering initiative represents a<br \/>\nstrategic alliance to advance innovation, sustainability, and human-centric<br \/>\ndevelopment in the circular economy.<\/p>\n<p><b>About the IFTD Partnership<\/b><\/p>\n<p>In 2025, HUT and<br \/>\nHELP University are launching the Institute of Future Technology and Design<br \/>\n(IFTD) at HELP University\u2014establishing Southeast Asia&#8217;s premier hub for<br \/>\nsustainable packaging R&amp;D and talent cultivation. This collaboration unites<br \/>\nChina&#8217;s #1 packaging technology institution with Malaysia&#8217;s innovative<br \/>\neducational leader to address one of our era&#8217;s most critical challenges:<br \/>\nrethinking packaging and design for ecological resilience, technological<br \/>\nprogress, and inclusive growth.<\/p>\n<p><b>Forum Themes and Focus Areas<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Our Forum and<br \/>\nWorkshops will explore seven key themes that merge ecology, technology, and<br \/>\ncreativity to replace linear waste with circular regeneration. The sessions<br \/>\nwill cover a range of topics, from <b>Sustainable Materials &amp; Eco-Design<\/b>,<br \/>\nfocusing on bio-based and recyclable innovations, to <b>Smart Packaging<\/b><br \/>\nthat utilises technologies like QR\/RFID, sensors and supply-chain transparency.<br \/>\nWe&#8217;ll also explore <b>Circular Design<\/b>, assessing product lifecycle assessment<br \/>\nand regenerative systems; <b>AI &amp; Green Manufacturing<\/b>, which focuses on<br \/>\nautomation, digital twins and low-energy production; and <b>Consumer Engagement<\/b>,<br \/>\nexploring branding, ethics, and sustainable behaviour. Additionally, the<br \/>\ndiscussions will address <b>Policy &amp; Governance<\/b>, including EPR, and<br \/>\npublic-private models, and <b>Talent Development<\/b>, focusing on the<br \/>\nfuture-ready, cross-disciplinary training.<\/p>\n<p><b>Strategic Objectives and Regional Impact<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The forum aims to<br \/>\ndrive transformation across four critical areas, such as <b>Talent Development<\/b><br \/>\nby equipping the next generation of sustainability leaders, and on <b>Business<br \/>\nTransformation<\/b> by converting circular packaging into competitive advantage.<br \/>\nThe event will also explore <b>Technology Adoption<\/b>, which will look into scaling<br \/>\nAI, IoT, and automation for eco-innovation, and finally, it will also address <b>Ecological<br \/>\nRepair<\/b>, concentrating on designing systems that restore nature.<\/p>\n<p>Our vision extends<br \/>\nbeyond national boundaries. Malaysia and ASEAN, positioned at the nexus of<br \/>\nChina&#8217;s industry and regional dynamism, can lead Asia&#8217;s green transformation in<br \/>\nalignment with national and regional sustainability goals.
